Local legend and ‘Cloud 9’ hitmaker Baker Boy will headline TikTok Australia’s NAIDOC week celebrations, dropping a live set on the platform this Wednesday night.

Every night at 8PM AEDT, a string of Indigenous artists will host live performances on their TikTok accounts, including Kee’ahn, Sycco, Mitch Tambo, and J-MILLA — who kicks off proceedings tonight.

Baker Boy will land on the app on Wednesday night, fresh from releasing his new single ‘Better Days’ alongside Dallas Woods and Sampa The Great. It’s the Yolngu artist’s second single of the year, following ‘Move’ back in March. We also just named his track ‘Cloud 9’ the 73rd greatest Australian song of all time, not bad for someone that’s only been on the scene for a few years.

Sycco meanwhile, is a certified Artist To Watch, having dropped two warmly received singles this year — ‘Nicotine’ and ‘Dribble’, which earned her a triple j Unearthed Artist of the Year nomination. Soul singer Kee’ahn has had an equally great 2020, having picked up the Archie Roach Foundation Award at the 2020 NIMAs and releasing her silky debut single ‘Better Things’ — she’ll step up to perform on Tuesday night.

Tambo’s dropped three singles this year: ‘Together’, ‘Love’ (sung in Gamilaraay), and ‘Absolutely Everybody’, which dropped last Friday and yes, is an incredible cover of the Vanessa Amorosi song. Mak Mak Marranungu rapper J-MILLA , who’ll drop his set tonight, is coming off the back of the powerful singles ‘Unlock The System’ and ’60K’.

So yeah, it’s gonna be a good time. Check out the schedule below and tune in.
