The Spice Girls Are Reuniting Because This Is What You Really, Really Want

Stop right now: after months of teasing, it’s basically all-but confirmed that The Spice Girls are reuniting, albeit without Victoria Beckham. Thank you very much!

UK newspaper The Sun are reporting the group will perform a slew of UK stadium shows next year, after getting their mitts on pictures taken at an impending video reportedly announcing the tour tomorrow.

It’ll be the first time the group have performed since 2012, where they came together for the London Olympics’ opening ceremony.

Unfortunately, they’ll be slightly less spicy: it’s reported that Posh won’t be joining them, assumedly because she’s quite content with her incredibly successful fashion line (and burgeoning comedy career). This isn’t really surprising for any True Fans, though: Beckham’s always proven to be the most reticent to a reunion.

Still, four spices! Baby! Sporty! Scary! Ginger! Mel B, Emma Bunton, Melanie C and Geri Halliwell all on a stage together, singing! Dancing!

We won’t have to wait long to see them together, either: while the tour will be next year, they’re appearing on Jonathan Ross’ talk show this Saturday, which was the latest tidbit that gave fans a heads up that the group would be returning.

Unfortunately, there’s no news of any international shows — but hey, if you’re going to fly to the UK for something, why not make it this? Contemplate it as you take a trip back, back to 1996.
