IMPORTANT ’90s NEWS. The Spice Girls may be on the verge of reuniting, according to reports.

Over the weekend, The Sun reported that all five members of the iconic girl band, including long-time holdout Victoria Beckham, will be getting back together in 2018 for a compilation album and TV special.

“The five of them have been locked in secret talks since the summer, and finally they are all on-board for a 2018 reunion,” a source reportedly told the UK tabloid. “As it stands, they will be working together on a series of projects, which will include an album and a TV special celebrating the Spice Girls.”

“Getting Victoria to agree has been a coup for everyone involved, given she has always been the person holding back on a reunion,” the source added.

“The fact she is on board now is down to how much closer the five of them have become recently.”

The reunion was reportedly spearheaded by Mel C, and if it happens will be the first time the band has collaborated since the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.

Based on the social media reaction, fans seem to be on board with the idea.

Any true Spice Girls fan will know that we’ve been here before. Rumours of reunion tours have been swirling around for years now. The Sun and its unnamed sources also promised us some big stuff in 2015 that never actually eventuated. Nevertheless, you gotta keep the faith.

Can’t believe 2018 will be the greatest year of all time. Wild stuff.
