The Season 6 Premiere Of ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Absolutely Smashed It In The Ratings
NOICE.
They’re back, baby! After a shock cancellation followed by an even more shocking resurrection, Brooklyn Nine-Nine returned to our TV screens on Friday, and there was much rejoicing. So much rejoicing, in fact, that the season six premiere scored the show’s highest viewer numbers in two whole years.
The latest episode of the beloved sitcom attracted 3.6 million viewers in the US, its best numbers since January 2017.
The reviews have also been extremely positive. The A.V. Club called it “absolutely exemplary”, while Entertainment Weekly said it was “smart, silly, good-natured, and very Brooklyn“. And I think this Vulture headline sums things up quite nicely.
The reborn #Brooklyn99 is just as goofy, warm, fast-moving, and funny as ever https://t.co/l4J7Bp87uN

Series star Melissa Fumero (who we interviewed this week, you should definitely go read that) tweeted her excited about the episode’s success.
You guys showed up for us last night… THANK YOU WE LOVE YOU #Brooklyn99 https://t.co/wj2AyNKnfV
