Get ready to implement your anger-management strategies and keep your stressball close at hand — after not a small number of hintsMaking a Murderer is returning. Netflix has confirmed this morning that more episodes have been commissioned and production is underway.

While there aren’t many details yet (EXCUSE ME, IS DEAN STRANG INVOLVED?), the series will pick up where season one left off, continuing the story of convicted murderer Steven Avery and his fraught relationship with the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department continuing the interesting (if not somewhat troubling) co-mingling of entertainment and justice in the vein of Serial. The release date and number of episodes commissioned is yet to be announced, but Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos, the duo behind season one which was ten years in the making, will return for the new instalments.

“Because of Ricciardi’s and Demos’ incredible vision, commitment and keen eye, audiences around the globe became completely captivated by the personal stories of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey and the unique lens their experiences provide into the criminal justice system,” said Lisa Nishimura, Netflix VP of Original Documentary Programming.

This is probably a good time to re-visit the first season and read up on the different sides of the story and what’s happened with those from the show since filming. We’ll be arguing about everything again in no time.
