Netflix has finally given fans their first look at Disenchantment, the new animated fantasy comedy series from The Simpsons and Futurama creator Matt Groening.

The streaming service unveiled a number of images from the show on Wednesday, and honestly, even if we didn’t already know Groening was involved, the animation style would give it away in a second.

According to Netflix, Disenchantment follows “the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci. Along the way, the oddball trio will encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools”.

Voice actors on the show include Broad City star Abbi Jacobson as Bean and The Eric Andre Show host Eric Andre as Luci, as well as regular Groening collaborators such as John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche and Tress MacNeille.

The writing staff is also stacked, featuring the likes of Futurama head writer David X. Cohen and Australia’s own Adam Briggs.

Let’s just hope Briggs has a positive influence on Groening, who recently came under fire for comments he made about the debate over whether Apu’s depiction on The Simpsons is racially insensitive. When asked if he had anything to say about the controversy, Groening replied that “I think it’s a time in our culture where people love to pretend they’re offended.”

The first ten episodes of Disenchantment hit Netflix on August 17. For more info, go here.
