There sure is a lot of weather going about today in Australia folks, with Sydney’s still impending dust storm getting its literal thunder stolen by surprise snowfalls in Falls Creek. That’s just some classic one-ups-manship from the state of Victoria there.

Whilst NSW ~braces~ itself for what is slowly turning out to be a bit of a fizzer regarding the whole orange dust apocalypse we’ve been warned about, footage has emerged from the resort town in south-eastern VIC showing an absolute dumping of the white stuff.

Snow at Falls Creek in November

Just a lil’ reminder that it’s summer in just over a week and it’s pelting down snow in Australia. How very out of the ordinary and unexpected! Why, it’s almost like the whole world’s climate is changing or something. Someone should look into that.

ABC News has been sharing the images from Falls Creek where it’s currently a delightful zero degrees Celsius. The average temp for the area in November is 12 degrees, so yeah that’s quite the blip on the ol’ radar there.

Confirmed: snow.

More like SNOWtorbike! (Whatever, I’m tired.)

Random unseasonal drops of snow at high-elevations in Australia, whilst rare, are not entirely unheard of. However, the fact that over 10cm of the stuff fell in just one November day is a decidedly freaky occurrence.

Like any colder than usual weather event many online commentators (read: dipshits) have crawled out of their mancaves and flat earth society meetings to loudly decry “SO MUCH FOR GLOBAL WARMING AM I RIGHT?”. Hahaha no, no you’re not right. At all. Especially this bloke:

OK!

Enjoy your snow Victorians! At least your weather phenomenon actually happened. Yes, I’m looking at you SYDNEY DUST STORM. Hurry up, we’re bored.
