This Dude’s Golden Pants Are Quite Literally The Highlight Of The Royal Tour Down Under

The royals and Gold Pants Guy hit Bondi this morning for a quick "anti-bad-vibes circle".

Okay, so we promised two days ago that we wouldn’t write about the royals any more this week, but there’s been a thrilling update!

This morning Prince Harry and Meghan Markle went to a cloudy Bondi Beach for an anti-bad-vibes circle (classic Bondi), and behold: this guy’s golden pants stole the show.

The gold pants were for a good cause, too — they were worn by Sam Schumacher, co-founder of Bondi surfing community and mental health awareness group OneWave.

Today was one of OneWave’s regular “Fluro Fridays” to raise awareness for mental health, which doesn’t quite explain why people are wearing Hawaiian leis on Gadigal land in Sydney, but does explain the anti-bad-vibes circle.

And y’know, nothing says Experiencing Authentic Australian Culture quite like engaging in some light cultural appropriation on a cloudy Bondi Beach before heading off to yoga. Who knows what the royals expected (I mean, it’s only been two days since a child grabbed Prince Harry by the beard, anything could happen), but I’m guessing it wasn’t this.

Anyway, let’s just appreciate those gold pants one more time: they’re quite literally the highlight of the royal visit so far, and they’re stunning.
