Rebecca Black has had somewhat of a renaissance of late.

The singer, who went viral in the most torturous way following the release of ‘Friday’ back in 2011, has become wildly popular on TikTok in recent months, playing various covers and just generally being a pleasant and funny presence.

A couple of weeks back, for instance, she shot back into the news cycle by covering Smash Mouth’s classic ‘All Star’ — which she did as a birthday present for one of Music Junkee’s contributors, Richard S. He.

Now, at the urging of her followers on the app, she’s delivered an acoustic ukulele version of her most famous song, and it’s a curiously gorgeous listen. Of course, the original was unfairly maligned, and, as Jackson Langford wrote in an excellent feature for Music Junkee at the end of last year, was much more influential than we gave it credit for.

Listen to the below, and just try and tell us you don’t think this is a great song.
