The new Fab Five in the Netflix reboot of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy has been revealed, and they look fittingly fabulous.

A photo released by the streaming service gives us our first glimpse at the new heirs to the Emmy-award winning reality show. There’s Antoni Porowski (Food & Wine), Bobby Berk (Interior Design), Karamo Brown (Culture), Jonathan Van Ness (Grooming) and Tan France (Fashion). For what it’s worth, Brown previously worked as a policy advisor to the White House, which makes this one hell of a career change.

It’s been fifteen years since  Queer Eye for the Straight Guy revolutionised reality television and significantly increased the amount of single men with feature walls in NYC. But the reboot is doing more than just swapping out its original cast. It’s also moving from New York to Atlanta, Georgia.

Along with the location, the show is shifting the parameters of what constitutes a makeover, not only focusing on aesthetic advice, but also schooling straights on more cerebral matters. “Our new Fab Five will forge relationships with men and women from a wide array of backgrounds and beliefs often contrary to their own, touching on everything from LGBTQ rights and social commentary to how to make the best farm-to-table guacamole and more!” said Netflix.

I’m a little baffled that we don’t have any queer women in the new cast, although maybe they just want absolutely nothing to do with straight dudes full stop.

Queer Eye launches globally on Netflix in February 2018.
