Bright and early yesterday morning, we got some very exciting news: Chevy Metal, the “dirt rock” cover band starring Foo Fighters members Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins, would be playing a surprise show at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory that night.
Fans lined up from 7am to score $20 tickets to the last-minute show, where Grohl, Hawkins, and bandmates Wiley Hodgen and Brent Woods covered classics from the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Knack, Black Sabbath, David Bowie and Billy Joel.
