Yeah, sure, Jessica was bad but at least Mark knew she didn't like him from the start.

Last night, the hugely-popular Love Is Blind concluded with the five couples walking down the aisle.

Netflix’s dating show, which started with some-30 singles, managed to whittle its way down to just five couples by the end of the series: Lauren and Cameron, Amber and Barnett, Jessica and Mark, Gigi and Damian, and Kenny and Kelly. In the finale, we saw that only two of the five couples actually completed the social experiment and got married to their partners.

*Obvious spoilers ahead*

Both Lauren and Cameron, and Amber and Barnett followed through and tied the knot, while the other three relationships fizzled on the spot. As expected Jessica did not say “I do” to Mark, likely because he wasn’t Barnett, and in what was half-expected, half-not, Damian told Giannina that her mood swings were just too much for him to marry into. The biggest shocker of the night, however, came from the most nothing couple of the show, Kenny and Kelly.

While the pair barely had any screen time beyond their conversations about never having sex, the finale proved that Kenny actually has a voice. After Kenny declared his love for his potential wife, Kelly rejected him in front of all their family and friends. Turns out Kelly just led poor, sweet Kenny on throughout the entire series.

Love Is Blind rarely showed any strain in the pair’s relationship up until their wedding day. In the finale, Kelly expressed that she simply wasn’t attracted to Kenny because he wasn’t like people she would normally go for. Even with all his good qualities and her family loving him, Kelly just couldn’t get over Kenny not being “brunette”.

While Kelly said she did love Kenny, she explained that she saw him more as a “best friend” than a husband. During the wedding even Kelly’s mum sat in the crowd and expressed her loving Kenny for her daughter. But that wasn’t enough for the bride, who thanked Kenny for his time but ultimately left her now ex-fiancé at the altar.

When asked if she would take Kenny to be his husband, Kelly said: “I absolutely adore you and love you, I love you, but I don’t. I can’t marry you and I hope that you can appreciate that and respect that decision of mine.”

After Kelly walked away with her sister, Kenny proved he was a stand-up guy and addressed his guests calmly and respectfully. “Obviously this is a whirlwind for everyone. I don’t want to dive too deep into and delve because you take something that is so complex, and it is authentic and it is real, but today is not our day,” Kenny told the room full of loved ones. “I love each every one of y’all, and it’s something I’ll cherish and be grateful for forever.”

During his speech, even after Kelly rejected and left Kenny, Kelly’s mum whispered “God, I love this guy” to her husband.

Now while Kelly is a grown woman and is allowed to make her own decisions, how she treated Kenny was wrong. At least with Jessica, she straight up told Mark that she wasn’t 100% feeling him from the second they were in Mexico. So Mark being blinded by love was his own damn fault, but Kenny?! Kelly made Kenny feel like he was the one throughout the entire series.

If Kelly wasn’t attracted to Kenny, she could’ve very easily told him that when they first got together or in the weeks before the wedding. Instead, she introduced both their families to each other and went through with the wedding. Sure Kenny is probably really boring, but lowkey, Kelly was too so truly it was a perfect match.

People are now calling Kelly the true villain of Love Is Blind, for blindly leading her partner on from the jump. Despite him apparently ticking off “all the boxes”, Kenny was somehow still not enough for Kelly — who is clearly just not over the ex she was “infatuated” with. Plus, since finding out that Kelly is an MLM in a fitness pyramid-selling scheme, she also loses a few points for that.

While Kenny was mad at producers asking if he would get back with Kelly in the future, we’ll find out if their pair rekindled their romance in next week’s reunion.

The reunion special of ‘Love Is Blind’ airs on Netflix on March 5.
