Grimes’ Mum Thinks Elon Musk Should Stop Tweeting And Go Help Raise His Newborn Baby
She isn't exactly a fan of Elon Musk's "16-year-old MRA bullshit".
While Grimes has, assumedly, been resting and bonding with her newborn son (yes, the one called ‘X Æ A-12’), her partner and technocrat Elon Musk has been tweeting up a storm about reopening his Tesla factory against government orders. Grimes’ mum has not been impressed.
Musk, in case you’ve missed it, has had a lot to say about COVID-19. Back in March, he called the panic “dumb” and estimated that the US would have no new cases by April’s end. Since shelter-in-place laws came into effect across the US, Musk has been increasingly critical of them, adopting the language of anti-lockdown protestors in calling them “fascist”.
After continually tweeting that he would reopen his Tesla factory in California and threatening to move states if they couldn’t, he went ahead without approval last week. The local county is now working with the company to ensure safe working conditions.
Meanwhile, Musk has continued tweeting anti-lockdown messages and imploring America to risk the lives of workers so the rich can continue to profit — all with the approval of Donald Trump, of course. He’s also adopted increasingly right-wing rhetoric, two days ago tweeting out “take the red pill!”, a Matrix reference which has been co-opted by Men Right’s Activists in recent years.
The Matrix director Lilly Wachowski had her own simple response to both Musk and Ivanka Trump, who wrote that she’d taken her pill. “Fuck both of you”, she wrote.

Grimes’ mother Sandy Garossino, a Canadian media commentator and former lawyer, had her own thoughts. Naturally, she decided to share them on Twitter, as it’s the best way to grab Musk’s attention.
“If your partner went through a challenging pregnancy and childbirth in the last two weeks, and you were over 16 years old, would you be blaring MRA (men’s rights activism) bullshit on Twitter right now?”, she wrote in a now-deleted Tweet.
She’s also liked several tweets criticising Musk over the past few weeks.

Grimes gave birth to her and Musk’s first son together at the beginning of May. She’s explained their child’s unusual name in a tweet which Musk then corrected publicly after Grimes got the name of “their” favourite aircraft wrong. Cool.
