Last year when Avengers: Infinity War snapped into cinemas, battle royale Fortnite released a limited time game mode to tie in with the film. In it, players could obtain the Infinity Gauntlet and transform into Thanos, granting them special powers.

Now that the Avengers are back in Infinity War follow up Avengers: Endgame (well, half of them anyway), Fortnite is holding another limited event — as well as releasing some pretty cool cosmetics.

The new game mode splits players into teams of two: The Avengers and Thanos’ Chitauri Invaders. Both teams must hunt the map for various items, the Chitauri for the Infinity Stones and the Avengers for special Avengers items. Once a team collects all their objects, the opposing team will stop respawning.

It’s like a scavenger hunt, only instead of a white stone or a yoga studio’s business card, you’re searching for things that will make your enemies stay dead. Oh, and the first Chitauri to find an Infinity Stone becomes Thanos with special Thanos powers, because Thanos is inevitable.

If you aren’t into the new game mode, there are several new cosmetics available for purchase as well. Last week kicked off the Fortnite Endgame event with an Avengers Quinjet Glider and various banners and sprays, but the Black Widow cosmetic set was far the highlight.

Featuring a Black Widow Outfit, Widow’s Pack and Widow’s Bite Pickaxe, it also includes a Widow’s Pirouette Emote. This emote makes your character do a very Natasha-esque cartwheeling air kick before sweeping their leg and crouching in the one-hand-on-the-ground superhero arse-kicking pose.

That outfit is cool enough, but this week Fortnite has added a Star-Lord look as well. The new Star-Lord set features Peter Quill’s face-obscuring mask and all-important headphones, and also comes with a matching backpack and pickaxe. You can further coordinate with a glider designed to look like the Guardians of the Galaxy’s ship, the Milano.

But perhaps the most delightful addition to Fortnite in this event is the Dance Off Emote, which recreates Quill’s diversionary dance at from the end of Guardians of the Galaxy.

In the film, Quill breaks out into some rather silly moves in order to distract villain Ronan from the rest of the Guardians. It’s nice that Fortnite got permission to put these highly identifiable moves in the game

I suspect Star-Lord’s unusual diversion won’t work out quite as well in a round of Fortnite, but you’re welcome to give it a go.
