We Regret To Inform You That Elon Musk Just Dropped His Very First SoundCloud Single
It's called 'Don't Doubt ur Vibe'.
Elon Musk loves attention.
If there’s one thing that’s defined the last few years in the life of the tech CEO and James Bond villain, it’s that. The man has embarked upon a high-profile, highly irritating relationship with the musician Grimes; spent his time on Twitter spreading the world’s dankest — read: most annoying — memes; and has daily pawed at the hem of our collective skirts, begging us to bend down and pick him up.
Really, we shouldn’t indulge him any more. But this latest attempt to spawn hundreds of articles precisely like this one is so egregious — so downright bizarre and obnoxious — that it must be seen to be believed.
See, yesterday, with no word of warning, Elon Musk dropped a SoundCloud single.
Called ‘Don’t Doubt ur Vibe’ and clearly inspired by the work of his life partner Grimes, it’s an echoey, vaporwave inflected EDM track.
It’s also not very good. It’d be the ultimate plot twist of 2020 if Musk dropped one of the bangers of the year, but he hasn’t — it’s this strange, lopsided thing that eventually morphs into a drop so predictable you’d almost expect to find it in an EDM textbook.

According to Elon, that’s the voice of the man himself on the chorus, too. Unfortunately.

Of course, Elon was obviously hoping that this would be the song to launch a thousand memes. It actually kinda hasn’t, unless you count this video of the man awkwardly dancing to his own song:

Maybe, finally, we’re all just getting a little bit sick of Elon Musk?
