Urgent tidings milord: Drew Barrymore has found a window!

For those unaware, the beloved actress from movies like Charlie’s Angels, Never Been Kissed and Ever After has recently been trying to renovate her apartment.

Personally, I’ve always believed that twenty minutes with a sledgehammer has always been more beneficial for mental health than yoga. Barrymore seems to think so too, having the time of her life in this Instagram video as the star knocks out shelving and checkered kitchen tiles with a hammer.

But the actress was completely floored after the renovations revealed something shocking: a window hidden by a layer of plasterboard.

In signature Barrymore style, the revelation of brought the actress to tears. In a now-viral video, Barrymore sobs gently at the new source of light, accompanied by ‘Heaven’ by the Psychedelic Furs.

“I knew it! I knew there was a window here!” Barrymore exclaims in the video.

“It’s so hopeful, it’s like something that something that used to be so covered up and dark, you can pry it open and create life,”

Perhaps trying to re-experience Barrymore’s joy, SNL actress Chloe Fineman has delivered her own take on the video, spawning numerous imitations on TikTok as a result.

Barrymore revealed that she’s lovingly in on the joke, posting a reaction video to Fineman’s initial piss-take today on Instagram.

This isn’t the first time that the ET star has gotten emotional on social media. Back in 2018, Barrymore posted a tearful video of herself to demonstrate the stresses of Hollywood.

People might think it’s silly to get all sappy over a new window, but if anyone discovered an additional source of light in my dank Sydney sharehouse, I’d practically dissolve.
