Delta Goodrem Covered Destiny’s Child And The Spice Girls, And The Result Will Make Your Day

One of the highlights of the last few months has been the Bunkerdown Sessions, a series of livestreamed concerts by Delta Goodrem.

Goodrem, who recently dropped her new single ‘Paralysed’, has been taking requests, chatting to fans, and pulling off all sorts of covers. While her contemporaries are using coronavirus to retreat from the limelight a little, Goodrem has done the opposite, rushing straight into her fan’s arms.

It’s highly welcome, not least of all because the Bunkerdown Sessions have spawned some of the best covers of Goodrem’s career. Remember when she covered The Nanny, theme song, for instance?

Well, last night Goodrem totally outdid herself, with a Bunkerdown set dedicated to girl bands.

The whole thing is a work of great art. But the highlight? The moment when Goodrem tackles ‘No Scrubs’ by TLC, 7 or so minutes into the video. Oh, and then follows it immediately up with ‘Say My Name’ by Destiny’s Child, before segueing into the Spice Girls.
