Conan O’Brien has become the latest international celebrity to be utterly baffled by Australian Rules Football, after trying out for the Sydney Swans. And look, good on him for trying, but maybe don’t expect to see him tearing down the wing of the SCG any time soon.

The American talkshow host was in Australia this week after being emotionally blackmailed by Hugh Jackman. As part of his visit, he stopped by a Sydney training session where he got the opportunity to take part in a few drills.

“The minute I saw the short shorts I knew this was the sport for me,” O’Brien told the Swans website. “I have very long, attractive legs, and I felt this would show me at my best.”

“I think I took to the game like a swan to water,” he added. “See what I did there?”
