We Just Got Another Look At ‘Captain Marvel’ And Nothing Can Contain My Excitement
"Grunge is a good look for you."
If you even try to rain on my parade, to kill my buzz, to temper my insane optimism about the new Captain Marvel film, I will burn down your house and salt the smoking ruins so nothing grows. I will back over your prized belongings in a light jeep. Don’t even try me!
If you think that I haven’t been running around, hooting and hollering, screaming with excitement since I first heard of this film, then you are so wrong, you’ll never be right. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m looking forward to this film. I want to see Brie Larson destroy things with her photon blasts. I want to see Jude Law (from The Holiday) fight people. I want space ship.
We’ve already had one full-length trailer from Marvel, and it looked great — and now we’ve been given a “special look”. We don’t really have any more details about the plot, but we’re getting a better idea of the tone.
Good evening. This CAPTAIN MARVEL poster is our new religion. pic.twitter.com/M1jGNjvyFf

“Grunge is a good look for you,” says Nick Fury, reminding us that this movie is set in the nineties.
There’s some good dialogue — it’s playful, without being laboured.
In one scene, we get to watch Captain Marvel blow a hole in a diner wall, to prove that she isn’t a Skrull.
“That’s a photon blast,” she points out.
“And?”
“A Skrull can’t do that.”
Aha.
Anyway, don’t even think about trying to bring me down, I am soaring. I will laugh in your face. Watch the trailer. Let’s get ready.
Captain Marvel hits cinemas on March 8th, and we’re so excited.
