Rumours leaked yesterday about a surprise Breaking Bad movie not only being in the works, but getting ready to shoot this month. Now Bryan Cranston himself has overnight confirmed the whole thing is god damn real.

We hesitantly reported on the news yesterday, after one unnamed source informed the Albuquerque Journal that a movie about to shoot in the city, codenamed Greenbrier, was actually a Breaking Bad film in disguise with OG creator Vince Gilligan at the helm. Today it seems like it was true. All of it.

I really hope at least one of you is reading this article on the toilet.

Speaking to The Dan Patrick Show, Cranston revealed that whilst the movie is very real, he hasn’t seen a script. He doesn’t even know if he’ll be making an appearance in it as meth lord Walter White.

Cranston doesn’t really seem to know shit-all about the movie. Will it be a prequel, like the currently airing Better Call Saul? Or a continuation of the extremely dramatic series finale? All he reveals is “this idea, from what I’m told, gets into … at least a couple of the characters that were not completed as far as their journey.”

This seems to lend credence to the theory that the film will be about Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman, who was last seen in the finale hysterically laughing as he fled his Nazi captors. Who had just been super-murdered by a machine gun in a car trunk. Christ, that show really was wild hey?

So there ya go. Breaking Bad: The Movie is 100% happening. Obviously, many questions surrounding the project remain. Will Walter White return from the dead? Will he join Jesse as a sassy ghost companion? As they travel around New Mexico in a camper van solving sexy crimes?

I for one hope the answer is a resounding, spooky, yes.
