Disney Fans Are Mercilessly Roasting A New Musical Clip From The Live-Action ‘Aladdin’
Oh dear.
Disney has released a brand new clip from the upcoming live-action remake of Aladdin, featuring Will Smith belting out one of the original film’s iconic songs, ‘Prince Ali’. And it looks… very medium.
The minute-long clip largely mirrors the same moment from the animated version, in which Genie heralds Aladdin’s arrival into the city of Agrabah with elephants, ostriches and a toe-tapping musical number. Only this time it’s more of a half-hearted foot-waggle.

A number of social media users have criticised the clip over its weird lack of energy and flair.
Who among us, while watching ALADDIN as a child, didn’t think “Just imagine if this was live action, and the genie didn’t turn into anything fun during his songs”

The good news is that I can get copious food-and-drink during my #Aladdin screening, because I now know that I can absolutely use the restroom during the “Prince Ali” sequence.

Oh well, at least Will Smith isn’t glowing radioactive blue anymore.
