Corden is receiving mostly favourable reviews for the first show; most concede he was affable and charming (if not particularly magnetic), and Twitter seems to have loved him.
The episode itself featured cames from a bunch of big name talent –Meryl Streep, Lena Dunham, Billy Crystal, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Shia LaBeouf, and Allison Janney, among others — but the skit getting the most love online was this one, in which Cordon and Tom Hanks revisit every Hanks film ever.
