While You Were Sleeping, Fox News Was Still The Worst

Here are some things that happened over the weekend. Including Jay-Z interrupting a Beyonce concert, Dan Harmon's new animation, Aaron Paul being great, and more.

Ugh, Fox News.

Acclaimed historian Reza Aslan has a new book out called Zealot: The Life And Times of Jesus Christ. He was able to write this book because he has been studying the origins of Christianity for two decades, with four degrees in the sociology of religion — including a PhD — and a fluency in biblical Greek. He also happens to be a Muslim, which is not relevant at all.

Except this is Fox News, so of course it is.

This would be like questioning what right Jamie Oliver has to make pasta, without any knowledge of what chefs do, and what pasta is.

Hollywood Tour Stops Outside Aaron Paul’s House, Does Not Get Called “Bitch” Even Once:

In the same weekend as Justin Bieber was photographed hawking a loogie over his balcony and onto his fans below, a tour bus full of Irish TV fans stopped outside the house of Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad. He had his family with him at the time, who were visiting for the final season’s premiere — probably because he’s the nicest guy in the world and you’d want to visit him all the time, too.

Don’t feed the seagulls!

Dan Harmon Made An Animated Show

Remember that time Dan Harmon got kicked off the show he created, Community, at the end of season three, and then season four happened without him and it wasn’t very good? And then he got asked back for season five and everyone immediately remembered how insufferable he was to work with/hear from/be around?

In between those two seasons, he and Fish Hooks’ Justin Roiland got an animated show on Adult Swim: a half-hour show called Rick And Morty about a kid, his mad scientist grandfather, and their sci-fi adventures. It doesn’t come out until December, but the trailer has already landed. It looks fine.

I tried really hard not to react girlishly to this. Impossible.
