University! You might be starting it soon? If you’re a newbie, you probably have no idea what to expect (unless you’ve watched the first Legally Blonde — it’s exactly like that). Attending your university’s O-Week can help with things like locating the fanciest bathrooms and sussing out how many potential love interests are enrolled in your course. It’s also a great chance to get to know the people you’ll be seeing every day for the next three to five years. Which is why we’ve teamed up with Westpac for a little thing called O-Weekender. Did we mention entry is free?

Taking place the weekend before the O-Week action kicks off, O-Weekender is the perfect way to ease yourself into a big year of uni. During the day, there’ll be talks from musician Megan WashingtonYouTube comedian Natalie Tran, social enterprise superstar Jamie Green (One Night Stand Sleepwear), and more. If you’re not a big, fleshy ball of motivation after those, you might have to check your pulse.

If you’re over 18, you can celebrate all those warm feelings and inspiring thoughts from 6pm at the official O-Weekender afterparty, put on by our sister site FasterLouder. There’ll be food vans, drinks and music by DJ Tigerlily, plus three other big acts that will be announced soon. Entry for both the sessions and afterparty are totally free (you are uni students after all), but RSVP through Eventbrite to secure a spot.
