Watching Famous People Read Mean Tweets About Themselves Will Never Get Old

Jimmy Kimmel is on a roll at the moment.

Amongst all the Kanye death stares and excellent rants about creativity, style, racism and Kim Kardashian’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame star eligibility, it’s understandable that everything else on last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel was sadly overlooked. (Well, besides the fact that Arctic Monkeys’ scheduled performance was bumped due to Kanye’s endless philosophising — that is exactly how the world should work.)

But, as excellent as all that was, the show had more! Specifically, a brand new edition of ‘Mean Tweets’, those beloved segments where famous people come face-to-face with the critical fury of the internet and its endless requests to ‘suck a d**k’. Among the more creative insults are one from some user who calls John Mayer “a booze soaked turd wrapped in a Dumb And Dumber tux”, one from someone who says Pharrell “looks like a sewer rat”, and some weird tweet aimed at the dude from Hootie And The Blowfish that includes the words “Morgan Freeman” and “masturbation”.

Also, I have no clue who Mayer Hawthorne is, but that tweeter is 100% correct. And so concludes our Jimmy Kimmel ‘episode of the year’ round-up. Next time we’ll try Craig Ferguson or something (that show is terrible).
