My dad is one of the best around. He’d always watch The Simpsons with me instead of the 6pm news. One time he bought a carload of fireworks and let me literally burn a crater in our backyard. Just a few weeks ago he sent me a parcel full of Pez dispensers. No note. No reason. Just some novelty Pez dispensers for his adult daughter to enjoy at her leisure.

But never — not one damn time — has he let me film him adorably re-enacting every victory pose from the much-loved 1994 arcade game Street Fighter II Turbo Victory. The standard for Ultimate Dadding has just gone up a level.

For context (if that’s really a thing you need right now) that adorable little cherub-faced man is Mike Luciano Jr, the father of Youtube user Nick Luciano, and this isn’t the only time he’s done this for his son. Earlier this year Mike earned more than 400,000 views re-enacting every taunt animation in Super Smash Bros over a surprisingly epic five minute clip.

Overcome by the response, Nick then uploaded an extra two minutes which included his middle-aged dad climbing into a giant cardboard box and laying on his back pretending to be Pikachu.

This is what good parenting looks like:
