Following yesterday’s whipping attack by Cossacks (THERE ARE STILL COSSACKS IN THE WORLD WTF GUYS), Russian punk activists Pussy Riot held a press conference in Sochi where they unveiled their new music video, ‘Putin Will Teach You To Love The Motherland’.

The band’s members were forced to hold the press conference on the street outside their hotel, a few kilometres from the venues of the Winter Olympics. “They claimed every hotel they had called to arrange a press conference had turned them down, except the Golden Dolphin, which then called them two hours before and cancelled the event, citing ‘plumbing problems'”, reports The Guardian. A group of young people “waving raw chickens” and yelling “We like sex with chickens” reportedly interrupted the conference (apparently a reference to an art stunt some of the band members carried out in 2010).

The video, which serves as a snapshot of the band’s protests at the Winter Olympics site, includes footage from yesterday’s brutal incident, as well as other images of intimidation from Russian authorities, while the lyrics specifically reference the anti-Putin protests in Moscow on May 6, 2012, which resulted in the arrest of numerous activists, and the country’s new anti-gay laws.
