Our great nation has been stitched up at the Eurovision Song Contest by a Ukrainian streaker wearing an Australian flag as a cape.

The man climbed onto the stage during a performance by last year’s winner, Ukrainian singer Jamala. After dropping his pants and baring his arse to the camera, the streaker was tackled by security and removed.

Jamala maintained her composure throughout the incident and kept singing like an absolute pro.

The culprit has since been identified as Vitalii Sediuk, an ex-entertainment journalist and serial pest who has previously made headlines by ‘pranking’ (read: harassing and assaulting) various celebrities including Gigi Hadid, Kim Kardashian, Leonardo DiCaprio and America Ferrera.

It’s unclear at this stage why Sediuk sought to tarnish Australia’s reputation like this. Was he protesting our involvement in the competition? Could it have been a satirical statement about the rise of Reclaim Australia? Or is he just a sad little man who’s desperate for attention? Look, your guess is as good as mine.

In another news, this year’s competition was won by Portugal, while Australia’s Isaiah Firebrace finished ninth.
