Tremble In Fear At The Sight Of This French Bulldog Who Chased Two Bears Away From Her House
Her name is Jewels and she is not to be fucking messed with.
It’s a common assumption that small dogs are a bit shit. Constantly dismissed as silly or yappy or girly, they pretty much farewelled the last of their dignity when Paris Hilton started carrying around her eternally depressed, dress-wearing chihuahua Tinkerbell in the early-2000s (may she rest in peace). But, now one mighty little creature may have redeemed their kind.
Silly, yappy and girly, a tiny French Bulldog called Jewels has fearlessly defended her Californian home from two roaming bears this weekend. After her owner installed surveillance cameras to prove the damage the animals were causing, the whole confrontation was caught on video and it proves just how badass she really is.
For context, those bears are each about 45kg and Jewels is roughly the size of an oversized watermelon. To prove just how thoroughly she dominated them, here’s the chase from another angle:
According to a report on her bravery from a local news station, Jewels’ owner praised her as his very own Wolverine and she received a hot bath and lots of treats for her efforts.
