People Are Roasting This Extremely Weird Video The US Army Released For St Patricks Day
Because nothing says St. Patrick's Day like a hectic napalm strike.
The U.S. Army is probably one of the most powerful and terrifying organisations on this earth, distributing death and freedom all over the globe. But, their social media has always been bland! Yuck, amirite?
Luckily, it looks like those loose units at the U.S. Army has gotten serious about their Twitter cred, and have hired a truly dank edgelord to create some excellent content for them. First you make the memes, then you recruit the teens, then you wage a billion dollar land war, assumedly.
The problem with creating memes for an industrial war machine (apart from, like, ethics) is assumedly about finding relevance. What hashtags can we market our tanks and bombs on?
Apparently, the answer is St. Patrick’s Day. The extremely slick segue is that St. Patrick’s Day is a very green themed day, and the US Army also wears green, in order to better camouflage themselves while shooting at the enemy in foreign lands.
I mean, in their defence, Saint Patrick was best known for killing all the snakes in Ireland, so maybe this is a bizarrely violent match made in heaven.
Anyway — watch this truly cooked weirdness now, and let’s continue the discussion.
Happy #StPatricksDay from the #USArmy.
We appreciate how everyone wears a little green like us today. pic.twitter.com/NQc2xJLkkD

What’s weirder? The breakdancing soldier or the four-leafed clovers spraying from the machines of destruction? It’s hard to tell. Luckily, Twitter has a lot of thoughts on the subject:
“Troops! Where are we on our St Patrick’s Day social plan of attack?”
“We were thinking the usual—turn some footage of missiles into cute little clovers”
“Can you make a man dance, too? With a filter?”
“By god this is the US Army you’re talking to” https://t.co/rghlSQl8Vq

Lmffffaoooooo he’s dancing in green white and orange filters while people are actively shooting missiles and gunfire with clovers edited over like they’re not trying to kill people or preparing to. ???

St. Patrick’s Day is to celebrate Ireland and Saint Patrick, not to cheer on the U.S. in their efforts to kill terrorists, with bits of shamrock sprinkled around to make it seem like they care.
