The Rock’s Beard In ‘Hercules’ Is Actually Yak Pubes
Acting can be tough.
Production teams go to great lengths to make costumes look realistic – especially when it’s an action-epic period piece like Hercules. But the team behind Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s beard in the upcoming Hercules actually had to shave pubes off a yak and put it together piece by piece to create The Rock’s beard.
The Rock told Live with Kelly and Michael of the painstaking (and sort of gross) efforts the designers went to sculpt the beard, saying: “It’s the commitment of which I will go to.” That’s impressive dedication, but think of the poor dude who actually had to shave that testicle hair off.
Hercules, starring Dwayne Johnson and anonymous yak testicle hair, is released in cinemas tomorrow.
