US streaming giant Netflix is set to launch in Australia tomorrow, and it looks as though we’ve now all entered a 24-hour period of maniacal hype. This morning, Netflix announced that their service would officially be the cheapest on the market starting at $8.99 per month, and now we might have a glimpse at exactly what that money will be going towards.

Last night, before any official announcement, a series of screenshots were leaked online showing what claims to be the entire Netflix AU catalogue. The Reddit user who uploaded them, Copie247, claimed he obtained the shots from the mobile app which is already available for download.

But, while Netflix, inc. is currently in the Australian app store, the system is not yet accessible. Attempts made this morning were met with error messages stating “Netflix is coming soon to your area”.

Representatives from Netflix would not confirm or deny the veracity of the pictures, though the announcement this morning does provide one particularly uncanny coincidence. Though access to Orange Is The New Black was under doubts due to exclusivity deals with Foxtel, it was listed in the leaked catalogue overnight and officially announced this morning. The first two seasons will be available as of tomorrow, and the third will be released globally on June 12.

Other titles which have been officially confirmed include Netflix originals House of Cards, Bloodline, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Marco Polo, ABC productions like Summer Heights High and Upper Middle Bogan, as well as comedy from Chelsea Handler and Australian comedian Jim Jeffries.

If the leak is to be believed, we’ll also be seeing things like Arrested Development, Homeland, and Brooklyn Nine Nine. But, while local TV shows are looking well-represented through the already-announced deal with ABC, the Australian movies section looks truly dismal with just over 30 titles, some of which are actually just stand-up specials.

Also, despite much excitement about its addition the US catalogue, there’s no sight of Friends.

Here’s a taste of the leaked titles, but if you’d like to obsess over the whole thing, head over here.
