The BuzzFeed List That BuzzFeed Wouldn’t Let You See
It took 15 minutes for BuzzFeed to delete this BuzzFeed parody from their site. Lucky for us, screenshots!
Early yesterday, The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, and The Awl contributor Joe Veix posted a parody of Buzzfeed on Buzzfeed: ‘The Top 10 DUMBEST BuzzFeed Lists You’re Embarrassed To Say You CLICKED’. It includes all the BuzzFeed go-tos: millennial nostalgia, the trivialising of world events, and something about “bitch face”.
It took just 15 minutes for the post to be deleted and Joe to be banned from the site for being “mean-spirited”.
Luckily, screen shots! Joe Veix published them on his blog, and let us publish them on ours too.
