What did we do to deserve this?

Isn’t it enough that the world is crumbling from climate change? That we have a madman in the White House? That we are forced to choose between eating avocados or owning a house? Haven’t we suffered enough?

Apparently not. Because today brings the news that ‘It Wasn’t Me’ rapper Shaggy and soggy arrowroot biscuit human Sting are recording music together.

The unlikely pair have just released their first single, ‘Don’t Make Me Wait’ — a plodding, Caribbean-inspired track that sounds exactly how you would expect a Shaggy/Sting mash-up to sound.

It’s somehow made even worse by the sleazy lyrics, which see Shaggy and Sting pressure their new lovers into having sex. Nice to see Sting hasn’t moved on from ‘Every Breath You Take‘.

‘Don’t Make Me Wait’ is just the first taste of a full-length album that’s due out April 20, titled 44/876. Listen to the track below, if you really want to.
