If you’re the kind of legend that throws on ‘Despacito’ every time you’re handed the aux cord, you’re not alone.

Spotify has crunched the numbers on their most-streamed songs of winter (a period they define as June 21 to August 27), and the Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee banger is sitting pretty at the top of the list with over 800 million streams to its name.

Australia’s second most-streamed song of the last few months is DJ Khaled with ‘Wild Thoughts’, while 1D alumnus Liam Payne rounds out the top three with ‘Strip That Down’.

The rest of the top ten sees contributions from usual suspects like Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Jonas Blue, Imagine Dragons and DJ Khaled (again) with ‘I’m The One’.

Oddly, apart from a guest feature by Troye Sivan on Martin Garrix’s ‘There For You’, there are no Australian artists in the 30-song list. There are also very few women, with only Rita Ora, Halsey, and Hailee Steinfeld boasting singles in the rankings.

Things are slightly different when you look at the global charts. For instance, we didn’t like Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape Of You’ as much — only putting him in at #19 while globally he sits at #6 — and we definitely don’t dig frat boys The Chainsmokers, who are sitting at #18 on the global rankings and don’t get a mention at all in Australia’s list (good work, everyone).
