Last week, Splendour in the Grass tickets went on sale… and then sold out in 15 minutes flat.

So if you were one of the thousands left stranded in Splendour’s online waiting room, you can take consolation in the fact that there are plenty of sideshows on the way. The first round of Splendour sideshows were announced this morning, with acts like Chvrches, The Wombats, Chromeo, Yungblud, James Bay and more on the list.

Franz Ferdinand and MGMT will also be teaming up for two special joint gigs in Sydney and Melbourne — at Hordern Pavilion and Festival Hall respectively. Get all the details about those shows here.

As Lorde, Khalid, and Vampire Weekend are all exclusive to Splendour, they won’t be playing any sideshows — but there’s still a good chance that Kendrick Lamar will announce a larger tour to complement his headline slot.
