Someone Built A Rocketship In Their Garden And Flew To Mars. Now She’s Live-Tweeting The Experience.
She is Evghenia, first on Mars!
You may not know this, but on August 2, 2014 a woman called Evghenia became the first human to touch down on Mars.
She did this without help from NASA, or any other nation for that matter.
So how did she get there? Well, it’s quite simple really:
i build rocket in my back garden for 10 year

i build rocket from spare car part and old nuclear facility

in month of march i buy 10,000 of my favourite protein bar

in month of april i launch rocket with me in it towards planet mars

Since arriving on Mars, Evghenia has designed herself a space suit out of tin foil, urinated on the red sands of Mars, tried to plant a lemon tree, slept one night in a cave, and has tragically realised that she is going to run out of water in a year’s time.
today, i, evghenia, count how many water i have left on mars. it is enough to live more 350 days. no more. how i feel? scared and adventure

Evghenia’s adventure has been written about by Jezebel and the Daily Dot. The comments sections in the articles provide some golden Internet moments. People are actually debating whether Evghenia truly built a rocketship and flew to Mars.
Of course she did! For she is Evghenia, first on Mars.
