Right now he's explaining what reddit is.

Sometimes an artist is so advanced, that culture simply can’t understand their brilliance. Hell, Vincent Van Gogh was pretty much ignored before his death! My point is, we can’t always trust our initial snap judgements when it comes to assessing the worth of a piece art.

For instance when I heard that Shia LaBeouf was spending 24 hours in an elevator in Oxford and live-streaming it, I thought, ‘That sounds pretty stupid. Why is he doing this? Isn’t this a more boring version of the time he live-streamed himself watching all of his films in a cinema?’

But maybe, just maybe, Shia LaBeouf is actually a genius and I just can’t see it because my mind is clouded by primitive 2016 thoughts. Maybe?

Shia and his two artist pals Ronkko and Turner started their project #ELEVATE about 18 hours ago and plan to finish up in about 5 hours. Apparently there have been queues of people waiting to hang out with them all day and night.

Right now it’s the middle of the night in Britain so the door isn’t opening as much, but you can still hear them talking (as I type this, I can hear Shia explain to a woman that “reddit is big”).
