A brand new Robyn song, titled ‘Missin U’, has appeared online just days before it was set to be released.

It’s the first piece of new solo music from the singer (born Robin Miriam Carlsson) in eight long years, following the massively influential and successful record Body Talk — which launched the singles ‘Call Your Girlfriend’ and ‘Dancing On My Own’.

Eager fans noticed that ‘Missin U’ appeared on a streaming site earlier this week, with a release date scheduled for August 1. Given that Robyn has been using the phrase #MissingU across her socials recently, the track and release date seemed seemed legit.

It was quickly taken down, but not before it was screenshotted and shared across Reddit:

But somehow — as is the way with the internet — the track made its way to YouTube, where it has now been uploaded in its entirety. Listen to ‘Missin U’ below.

Robyn premiered another new track, ‘Honey’, at a Brooklyn gig earlier this year. She also confirmed in an interview with producer Kindness earlier this year that a new album was definitely on the way this year.

“The whole process of making this album has been very, very different from anything I’ve done before,” she told Kindness. “It’s not finished yet, but it’s almost there…I felt very raw when I started making this album.”

No release date has been given for the new album yet, but here’s hoping it’s soon.
