Yesterday, tickets to Splendour in the Grass went on sale… and then sold out in less than thirty minutes. The good news for those who missed out is that Splendour can now start revealing which of the artists on their very big line-up will be playing sideshows this July.

First cab off the rank is California rock outfit Queens of the Stone Age, who have just locked in three Australian sideshows. Josh Homme and band will start their run of dates by playing the Northern Territory for the first time ever, hitting Darwin’s Convention Centre on July 19.

Shows at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion and Melbourne’s Festival Hall will follow later in the week. See all the dates below – tickets go on sale Wednesday, April 12 at 10am through the Frontier Touring website.

QOTSA were last here in 2014 for a joint tour with Nine Inch Nails. They’ll play Splendour on Saturday July 22, with fellow headliners The xx and LCD Soundsystem performing July 21 and 23 respectively.
