Rejoice, For Sydney Is Finally Destroyed In The New ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Trailer

With only a month to go until X-Men: Apocalypse hits screens, and more superhero franchises floating around than you could wave a stick at, the X-Men publicity team needed to pull off something pretty special to make sure their baby stood out from all the rest. What could possibly win the hearts and eyeballs of moviegoers already stuffed to the gills with Civil Wars, Deadpools, Suicide Squads and ludicrously overacted villains?

Easy, at least from a domestic perspective. Easy easy easy. Destroy Sydney in the trailer. Send the great garbage city skyward. No more lockouts. No more $400 bicycle fines. No more flocks of ibis, scrabbling through the bins like winged viruses.

We need this outcome. All hail Apocalypse.

Also, Wolverine’s back or something, I dunno.
