Ocean Girl was a children’s TV show that was on pretty much every day after school from 1994 to 1997. The sci-fi series followed a girl with super-human swimming abilities called Neri, who solves ocean-related mysteries. It was great.
This week, comedian Aaron Gocs has made a tribute to the ’90s classic in which he stars as the titular Ocean Girl. “The environment is the most important part of the ecosystem of this planet,” Ocean Girl explains to her friend, before stopping some “evil Russians” from poisoning a waterway, by throwing seaweed at them.
“Hey, let’s chase each other!” says Ocean Girl’s friend. “Sick!” says Ocean Girl. Nothing else matters.
