Lindsay Lohan’s New Reality Series Is About To Become Your Favourite Thing On TV
It's produced by Oprah, and it looks pretty entertaining.
“What the heck has Lindsay Lohan been doing for the past few months?”, you’re no doubt asking yourself this fine afternoon. Funnily enough, today brings an answer: she’s been locked in the demonic clutches of Oprah Winfrey, who’s been chasing the actress around endlessly for a new reality series titled ‘Lindsay’ that’s set to premiere on the Oprah Winfrey Network this weekend.
Oprah latched on to Lindsay following her release from rehab last year, first with a one-off interview special and then by commissioning this “eight-part documentary series” with the aim of helping LiLo “turn her life around”. The media mogul was reportedly paying rent on Lindsay’s $16,800-a-month Manhattan apartment while filming the reality series, which I guess is a pretty good exchange for having your dirty laundry aired as public entertainment. Needless to say, Opie got more than she bargained for from the notoriously erratic starlet, judging from the first official trailer for the show that was released earlier today.
“This is exactly what everybody said was going to happen and I believed differently,” says Oprah, when given a running report on the disruptions Lindsay’s already caused to the production. “She doesn’t understand: This is your LIFE!”
“My truth is that I really do want you to win. I really do,” Oprah tells Lindsay later on in the trailer, while exploiting her troubled private life for television ratings. “If that isn’t what you want, I’m okay with that. I will tell these guys to pack up and leave today. You need to cut the bullshit, you really do.”
Sigh, we do not condone this, but yep, we’re pretty much gonna watch the shit out of that.
