There’s only two months until Star Wars: The Force Awakens finally hits screens, and besides the fan-made trailer by three legends from Toowoomba, the release of the official poster for Episode VII might be the most exciting promo announce yet.

New characters like Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma, Poe Dameron, Rey, Finn, BB-8 and Maz Kanata make an appearance, as well as old favourites like Han Solo, Princess Leia (minus her trademark cinnamon scroll hairdo), R2D2, Chewie and C-3P0. There’s also a massive, scary-looking Death Star-type thing looming ominously in the background, which doesn’t bode well for at least one planet and/or star.

But it’s also worth noting what the poster leaves out. Despite Mark Hamill being confirmed for the role, Luke Skywalker’s nowhere to be seen. WHAT DOES IT MEAN? Probably nothing, but it’s fun to pretend otherwise!
