This year’s extravagant Australia Day Lamb commercial has been released, and it’s starring none other than the ubiquitous Queen of the Millennials Lee Lin Chin. The SBS news reader and national treasure replaces the late cricketing legend Richie Benaud as “lambassador”, because she is everywhere and everything and do not even try to escape.

The expectedly-epic ad, which was released online this morning and is due to hit TV screens tomorrow, features Chin as the head of ‘Operation Boomerang’, which sets out to rescue Aussie expats from going without lamb on Australia Day. A common plight, to be sure.

As is the custom now, a bunch of other Australian icons also star the video, including Wallabies captain Stephen Moore, retired cricketer Mitchell Johnson, chef George Calombaris and Princess Mary. Wait… yeah, she’s probably just a lookalike.

It’s an Australian piss-take masterpiece, right down to Chin declaring “yes, Prime Minister, the BBQ is lit”.
