Lana Del Rey Covers Leonard Cohen. Cue Outrage.
Apparently not in retirement any more, LDR's back with a cover of 'Chelsea Hotel No. 2'.
Lana Del Rey, aka Lizzy Grant, aka the most divisive thing to happen to an internet’s worth of critics since Vampire Weekend, has just released a new single and clip: ‘Chelsea Hotel No.2’.
Apparently shot through an Instagram filter (as is her wont), it’s a sleeper of a number – not helped by the fact that even she can’t seem to keep her eyes properly open.
Also, it’s a cover of a Leonard Cohen song which he wrote about Janis Joplin. The internet is about to hate her so hard. Or love her even harder.
