You may think you’ve had some good days over the course of your life, but please trust me when I tell you that you have never had a day remotely as good as the one that Tigers star Jack Riewoldt had on Saturday.

Riewoldt made his debut for the Richmond Football Club in 2007. He’s played 225 games and kicked more than 500 goals. He has worn his heart on his sleeve, and suffered through years of agony along with tens of thousands of fans. And now he’s a premiership player.

“It’s unbelievable,” Riewoldt told Matthew Richardson after Richmond’s Grand Final victory on Saturday. “We finished 13th last year. Beaten by 110 points in the last round. And now we’re fucking premiers”.

But as it turns out, winning a flag and dropping the f-bomb on national television was just a warmup. The main event came later in the evening, when Riewoldt joined The Killers on stage during their post-game show for the most euphoric rendition of ‘Mr Brightside’ you will ever see or hear.

This man is in raptures. And really, can you blame him?

Can’t wait to see which NRL player joins Macklemore to perform ‘Same Love’. Should be good!
