Please prepare to plunge into a deep depression when you realise that you, a youth, do not live your life to the fullest like Helen Mirren and Jane Fonda, two Hollywood starlets living their best second chapter ever. This is what I am feeling, as I realise I will never be as incredible as these women. Deep, deep depression.

But still! There’s nothing better than watching non-models own the runway better than any model could, and this weekend at the L’Oreal Paris mega runway show, Mirren and Fonda did just that. Walking against a dramatic backdrop of the Arc de Triomphe in L’Oreal’s epic Paris Fashion Week show, Dame Helen Mirren and Jane Fonda power-walked down the catwalk while supermodel Naomi Campbell cheered on from the front row. Talk about awesome role reversals!

Like OMG what is the Dame doing here? OWNING ALL OF FRANCE. She has just owned it. All of France belongs to Dame Helen Mirren now. And all through her walk, she really looks like she is having an absolute time, friends.

And Jane Fonda?

This. Is. Living.

The pair were walking for L’Oreal’s Diverse Beauties catwalk, along with models Irina Shayk and Adriana Lima, in looks from designers Balmian, Isabel Marmant and others, wearing jewels by Chopard. And, like, I have never seen models have this much fun before. Look at Fonda WALK:

My favourite thing about Fonda’s runway look is that she appears to have heard the news, all the way over in Paris, France, that the Richmond Tigers won the AFL Grand Final. And she is loving. it.

Then there’s Dame Helen Mirren, walking that runway with all the sass you’d expect from one of the best, most well-resepcted and clearly hilarious/awesome/angelic human actors on this planet.

I mean, I am dead. Swinging that cane? I cannot, she’s too fabulous. The stunning pair, along with the rest of the Beauties, brought the house down on the Champs-Elysees, which was closed down for the event. The whole thing is pretty outrageous, I reckon.

And no one loved it more than these two bbs.

Bless you, angelic women. Bless you 4ever.
