Now for some truly delightful news to brighten your day. Your gal Malala Yousafzai has announced she’ll be attending Oxford University next year.

The Pakistani-born activist and Nobel laureate made the announcement on her Twitter yesterday, accompanied by a screenshot of her acceptance email. “So excited to go to Oxford!!” she wrote. “Well done to all A-level students – the hardest year. Best wishes for life ahead!”

She’ll be studying the Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) course at Lady Margaret Hall, a program completed by a large number of Britain’s Prime Ministers and BBC political reporters.

It’s not surprising that Malala’s been accepted into such a prestigious institution. After being attacked by the Taliban in 2012 for her support of female education, Malala set up her own fund to help females gain access to education and wrote the bestselling book, I Am Malala.
