Your Guide To Being Totally Prepped For Semester Two

Uni holidays are one of the biggest blessings. They give us a time to relax, road trip, binge on glorious treats and Netflix, and catch up with friends. Basically, it’s a time to do everything you do during semester, but without the guilt or stress.

However, as holidays come to a close, fear of impending assessments and lectures is creeping in and may have left you unprepared. Our advice? Use the dwindling days to fully get back into the swing of things and get organised.

Buy Your Books And Stationery

We all know that pure contentment when we get a crisp new notebook and find a pen that makes our writing ace, right? Before semester goes back be sure to hit up the back to school sales and stock up on all the essentials. Nothing sets you up for a great semester like being organised. I identify with Rory from The Gilmore Girls, who needs three highlighters just in case one dries up and the other gets lost! You can never have too much stationery, no matter what people say, so treat yo self and get organised in the process!

Reset Your Sleep Cycle

Let’s be honest, we’ve been sleeping in a lot and staying up late for most of the holiday break. While this is something we can and do make the most of during the holidays, it’s probably time to realign our sleep schedules to get ready for semester two.

Reconnect With Your Study Buddies

Your study buddies are those people who make your uni life so much better so it’s time to reconnect with them. Catch up for a coffee or go for a walk (if you’re anything like me, you’ll need it after those holiday treats), and get yourself mentally prepared for the start of semester. If you’re feeling extra motivated you could get a head start on those readings together.

Finish Off Your Holiday Bucket List

Why not use the last bit of our holidays to do all those things we’ve wanted to do? Go on that spontaneous road trip, see the ‘rents (and stock up on some homemade meals while we’ve there), make something crafty or read a book that’s been put off time after time.

Start Planning Your Next Holiday

Sometimes the thought of going back to uni is just too much to bear, especially the time off has been amazing. However, making plans for the next break gives us something to work towards and can make the semester just that little bit easier. Google beautiful holiday destinations until your heart is content, save up your money, or look into whatever it is you want to do after exams!

Here’s hoping for a brilliant semester ahead, with pencil cases filled to the brim and pinterests flooded with inspirational holiday pics.
